Job Description: Software Developer

Start Date: November 2008 – Filled

TriSys is looking for a high calibre software developer to join its software development division in Cambridge.  Reporting directly to the application support manager, the successful candidate will have sound knowledge of SQL and Visual Basic (COM & .NET), as well as having the desire to carry out a range of duties including development of data migration tools as well as developing and maintaining sophisticated components and utilities on the Microsoft platform. The job will involve a close working relationship with both fellow developers and the IT, delivery and support teams.

The responsibilities of the position include:

·         Working in 2nd level support

·         Debugging and diagnosing application and database software problems

·         Maintaining software for core products, specialized components and utilities

·         Development and maintenance of TriSys V8 client and server components

·         Working with customers to develop bespoke functionality

·         Liaising with first level support department and third level developer support

·         Conducting software installation and customisation

·         Communication with customers

·         Progression to 3rd level support and version 9 development

·         Requirements for the position are:

·         Solid technical ability in SQL and VB6, with exposure to ASP.Net

·         Ability to work with customers and colleagues from different departments

·         Willingness to learn TriSys from the ground-up
